My 96 Grand Cherokee just started sputtering today. It does it as soon as I turn the car on but really lightly. Once I start driving it sputters a little more and on the freeway between 50-60 it is a heavy sputter but will get smoother the faster I go. I could be driving for a while and it never goes away. I know computers but not cars, can anyone help?

Sound like you need a tune-up...Distributor cap and rotor, wires, plugs, fuel and air filter are what i suggest.
