Unhappy 93 Toyota Transmission

I am attempting to remove a transmission from 93 toyota camry. Can't really tell if it would be easier to remove from top or bottom. I have removed most of the bolts, wires, etc. I am thinking the motor should come with it would be easiest. I was going down the road and it just
stopped, and then when I attempted to put it in gear it makes a grinding sound. Somebody said it might be the rear end part. Either way car has 180000 miles on the auomatic so I figure it's time to go. Thanks
