I have a 92 Camry dlx. I am having a prob with the front brakes locking up. I have replaced the master cyclinder, both front calipers, Both front rubber lines. and still locking up. also having heavy vibration at 60 mph. any help.

I believe you have 2 problems.

1. The brake pulsation is usually caused by warped rotors or drums. The fronts are usually the culprit since they do about 80% of the stopping and therefore generate the most heat. If you have rear drums you can varify this by pulling up on the emergency brake handle at the speed(s) you normally observe the vibration. If you feel the pulstaion in your hand, it's the rear drums that are warped. If no pulsation is felt through the handle, then it is the front rotors that are warped and need to be turned or replaced.

2. For the front lockup problem, based on what you already have replaced, I would adjust the brake pedal freeplay by adjusting the pushrod attached to the brake pedal under the dash. You may have insufficient freeplay there. To adjust this you first have to remove the stop light switch and it's electrical connector and then loosen the locknut on the pushrod assembly. Then turn the pushrod 1 turn and tighten the locknut. I don't remember which direction gives you more freeplay so try 1 turn in each direction and feel for the freeplay. Keep track of the direction and numbers of turns in each direction. This method also allows you to put the adjustment back where it was if this does not solve your problem. Then take the car for a ride and see if this helps. You may have to do this several times to get the right adjustment. When you are finished with the pushrod adjustment, reinstall the brake light switch and turn it until it lightly touches the pedal stopper and then back it out 1 complete turn. Then tighten the stop light switch locknut.
