WOW! I am gonna freak out...Read This!bighauns 04-20-2005, 10:36 PM Hey All! I was doing some looking around the good 'ol internet and I found this site, I think F&F has really screwed a lot of people, and this doesn't really help. Take a read, what do you think?? http://auto.howstuffworks.com/tuner.htm I think that we should offer to re-write it for them, we can just delegate people to certain sections and submit it to them, what do you think? Cheers ~Alex clipsekid99 04-20-2005, 10:48 PM :22yikes: :22yikes: :22yikes: Wow, someone really needs to educate them lol --- 04-20-2005, 10:53 PM Ignorant people for the win? Someone really should point out how wrong they are. 97_3clipse 04-20-2005, 10:56 PM "Web sites devoted to tuners spend as much time interviewing models as they do talking about turbochargers." i think were missing model interviews..... i feel cheated... 1stGenRocks 04-20-2005, 10:59 PM i think they are talking about the "tuner" cough ricer web sites/magazines like import tuner etc. sport compact car is better but they get some rice too. guitarXgeek 04-20-2005, 11:10 PM Shit. I guess I gotta go buy a 18" high wing, add some graphics, throw on some 19's, add a $10k sound system if I want to be a real tuner :disappoin Seriously though, who writes that garbage? I used to respect that website because of the information they provided to me when I just got into my car. That's quite disappointing. 91 Eclipse 04-20-2005, 11:17 PM yeah no shit I agree Killa_DSM 04-20-2005, 11:34 PM Holly shit! Is this a Joke? I used the same website to write a report on forced induction. I cant belive that shit. gstKillerRed07 04-21-2005, 12:13 AM Ha! Ha! thats funny..."tuners need what? how many speekers?" You know...and i thought that sight was a good place to learn about stuff... What Losers! LOL 1stGenRocks 04-21-2005, 12:13 AM they do good at describing tech stuff but soem of their articles (like this one) are just idiotic joemathews 04-21-2005, 04:00 AM I don't know about you guys, but I think that article is right on. Those are all characteristics of a "tuner". I don't consider myself a tuner, nor do I consider most DSMers "tuners". We don't just tune the car, we build the car how we want it, then tune it so it won't blow up :) Backyard-mechanic, yes, jackstand-jockey-weekend-warrior, yes. Tuner, no :grinno: They can take the term "tuner" and massacre it as much as they want; as far as I'm concerned, a "tuner" must have at least one vinyl decal and one rear wing to be classified as such :iceslolan: guitarXgeek 04-21-2005, 08:04 AM I don't know about you guys, but I think that article is right on. I used that site to look up a lot on cars that I didn't know about and now this pops up... wtf CBURKE 04-21-2005, 11:37 AM i think they are talking about the "tuner" cough ricer web sites/magazines like import tuner etc. sport compact car is better but they get some rice too. :bigthumb:, that is why I only read turbo and some SCC. One other thing, I love the ladies, but damn I wanna see the car!!! metalhedskater 04-21-2005, 01:11 PM link no longer works....rehost george536 04-21-2005, 04:24 PM What it say? guitarXgeek 04-21-2005, 04:41 PM WOW, that was quick. I guess everyone who has read that article was so offended that howstuffworks.com completely removed it from their website  gthompson97 04-21-2005, 04:42 PM i think they finally realized how gay it was after everyone bitched about it. they took it out of their system.
