I've just lost my mind and brought a Honda Accord (New) 2.0i V-Tec Sport. The test drive was wonderful, and even though I fell in love with the look of the car with the recent Honda UK advert, driving the actual car just made me want it even more. The interior was superb, and felt very comfortable. Not overly visable for the front when in the driving seat and rear seems a little high, but overall very impressive - and the performance was fantastic.. Well impressed..

Goodbye to my ford (that has actually done me well) and hello Honda Accord.. I'm actually looking forward to taking delivery, as the car appears to be loaded with features, and even though it wasn't cheap I feel like I got a good car and a lot for my money..!! Lets hope I'm not going to regret this, as this is my first (New) Honda car..!!

You've made the right decision. Enjoy the car. I just have a few questions though.

Where are you located? Because here in the states the new Accord (4cyl.) have 2.4L engines producing 160hp and 161ft. lbs. of torq.

I'm in the UK, and the 4cyl 4 door saloon has a few engine sizes. 2.0i, 2.2 and the 2.4i. The engine is a 4 cylinder in-line, all aluminium DOHC i-VTEC in the car I've just brought, however when I drove the test model it flew..!! Fastest 4 dr saloon I've ever tested to buy I must say.

So, I've brought the same model as I test drove due to me being impressed with the test drive alone. It wasn't cheap, as I've already said and some other car models offering the same where cheaper, but I'm going with the old saying - you get what you pay for..!!

You will be very happy with your choice. Good gas mileage, nice look, comfy, able to add on. We have a 2001 3.0L V6 Accord EX, very very nice car. I'm getting it in a few months and can't wait. I just have to get used to it being smaller than the car I drive now. You will have fun with your Accord, no matter what, well, if you wreck...

The 6th Gen Accord (98-02) V6 have tranny issues. Numerous people have had problems with the tramsmission. The same tranny was used in the 99-02 TL/CL (Base and Type-S) and the Honda Oddessy. Make sure you purchase the car from a certified Preowned Honda Dealer. If it is, Honda offers a 7yr/100K mile warranty that covers the Engine and the tranny

In the states the same car I've just brought is called a TSX - http://www.acura.com/models/model_index.asp?module=tsx

This is the same model I've just brought, but in the UK it's called the Honda Accord i-VTEC Sport.. How odd..!!

Still at least you guys in the states can buy one, as so can the UK folks as well, so it's all good..

How odd
Not so odd really. It's just marketing. If I recall correctly, there is no "Acura" brand in the UK - everything Honda makes is sold as a "Honda." The Legend, for example, was an (USA) Acura.

Question - is there an "Acura" marque in Japan?

You're absolutely right. I didn't think about our Acura division. Within the states the division is called Acura, but over seas it's still known as Honda. etc: Honda, integra, RSX, TSX, Legend
