Question My 90 325i...

So ok, I bought a 90 325i off of ebay figuring it might be nice having an older BMW to go with my newer one. So I buy the car, take it home, and put it in the shop to get an inspection as BMW calls it. It wound up getting almost 3,000 dollars worth of work. The car runs pretty darn good now, just a few probs, one I dont understand is this rather loud ticking sound. My mechanic had adjusted the valves, and he says its the electronic fuel injectors. I dont know what thats all about. The car hauls some major ass, I have a 2000 328i and this 325i is almost as peppy. Some of the work included, new lower control arms, thermostat, radiator, fan clutch, shroud, idle control valve, tune up, timing belt, all kinds of good stuff to run up a $2,794 bill. This car is worth it though, its a great little car, and I plan on putting more into it. Just wanted to get someones two cents on this, and any help on it would be appreciated. BTW if anyone is from around Mississippi, this place called Kohl Motors does a GREAT job!!! The dudes name is steve, he owns the place, and he is great. He does alot of work with BMW's, 228-863-3133.

how much did you pay for the car? How bad was the car when you got it, did it need all that work to run, or did you just do it becose you didn't what to fix them later?

Lightbulb

i paid $2,800 for the car. I paid more in repairs than I did for the car, lol. I got new tires put on it, that was $540. Perhaps I am mad, but then again, I love BMW. The car was in OK shape, but obviously needed work, so I am fixing it up.

cool, now it should run like a new bmw. lol What kind of tires did you put on the car, were they top of the line or middle of the road? Well any way it sounds like you got a good deal on a go car. thanks!
