How do I remove car wax residue off the black or gray plastic trim. I heard that their was some chemical remover, any help would be great.
Thanks Brad

here is a good article about detailing trim

Detailing Trim (http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?autopia+s4642p+inf-trim.html)

You could also try regular peanut butter, the oils in there dissolve the wax or whatever else it is that is making the trim unsightly. Hope this helps

I've used lacquer thinner to clean the trim and bumpers. Then I'll follow up with Meguirs trim detail. It is gets it looking nice and black. It only lasts about a month or so, depending on the rain, but it's a huge difference for awhile at least.

There is a product called Wax Blaster that'll disolve the wax. Very easy to use and around $5.00
