Highlander Rattle

highlander 2004 / V4 / 5000 MI

I have developed a rattle that only does it when I am on rough road surface or uneven. doesn't do it when I hit bumps. It is a metal type rattle. not really loud. seems to be coming from front of me center console or perhaps like in the supsension area or engine compartment. sound travles so i am really unsure. just certain it is in the front portion of the car. can't pin it down. I am taking it to the dealer but I bet anything they will say nothing is wrong. you have to really listen but I want to fix it before warranty goes out. problem might get worse. i haven't been off-roading with it.

thanks

update:

dealer fixed it. re-installed insulation around the back firewall steering column. atleist, that is what they said.

now i just have to deal with a metal clang in the rear when I press on the accelerator. sounds like a heatshield either over the catalytic or muffler.
