Lightbulb Need help with my Yugo 45A

Hi everyone,

I have a Yugo 45A and the engine often chokes (feels like a short gap while running). I changed plugs, leads, etc. but didn't seem to do the job. So I took it to a mechanic (six months ago) and after that it seemed to go much better. He said he tuned the carburetor.

But after driving several hundred miles it started choking again.
So does anyone know how I can tune a Yugo 45A carburetor since mechanics in England are bloody expensive and can't afford to take it there once more??
If it helps, it seems to choke when I press down the accelerator NOT when running with no gear, maybe it is the air rather than the fuel mixture that needs adjustment...??

I would really appreciate some tips !

cheers,
J

Perhaps the main jet is too large? Could also be leaking vacuum lines, or gaskets.

I managed to fix it. It was actually a pipe connected to the oil tank with the air filter that was blocked up by oil residues and in result was blocking all incoming air into the engine, making it starve for air and have frequent gaps in engine power.
anyway god knows if anyone who actually knows about Yugos, understood anything from my description...! :-)

just wanted to let people who helped know...

cheers 2stroke.
