throttle sticking

i have a 94 S-10 blazer auto with a 4.3 vortec V6 engine. sometimes when i come to a stop it feels like im pushing down on the gas instead of the brake momentarily. it sometimes does it as well when im just cruising down the road without my foot on the gas or brake. what possibly could cause this or is it as easy as just spraying some WD40 on the throttle linkages?

Re: throttle sticking

Nope. The 4.3 is known for that problem. Take the plastic screw off the top of your throttle body and pull the plastic intake tube off. Then clean it down with a bottle of carb/intake cleaner and wipe it clean with a wrag. A couple bucks at the autoparts store at the most.

Re: throttle sticking

just as a side note, if you used wd40 for a job like this it would stick worse, wd40 is not a lubracant, and shouldnt be used as one
