Re: Help changing dash lights

if its a 94 or newer, go to the blazer forum and search for a post by rilth, he did an excellent write up on how to convert to led's, if you want to just change the bulbs you can, but led's wont fade over time or burn out... just a though.

Re: Help changing dash lights

I have a 89 pickup and I changed some dash bulbs a few months ago. The heater controls are kind of a pain to remove and reinstall. Im tryin to remember how I did it. you got the vaccume lines to take off, theres a cable to remove for the damper door, and I think theres another cable that has to come off. I cant remember exactly. but make sure you are careful not to loose anything, I think there is a clip on the one cable and I think thats what I had the most trouble with.
you can pull on it a little to see what you gotta do but be very careful not to pull it too hard. use a flashlight or something to get right in there and see what is connectec. oh I think there is one of those stupid clips on there that has the backwards teeth on it so you cant just pull it off youll have to carefully work it off the post.
hope I helped some... good luck let us know how you make out

Re: Help changing dash lights

also I think the cable you say you took off already would be on the left side of the assy as you are sitting in the driver seat, look on the right side for the vaccume lines and the other connection that you need to get off. theres a cable for the temp, I thing the vaccume lines are for the defrost, vent, and heater setting, and theres a cable for the fan speed
