Unhappy Drive Shaft end to T-Case has play

Thank you BlazerLT for giving me the idea regarding the driveshaft turning. My next question is that, the drive shaft end to transfer case that has no u-joint has play on it, up, down, left, right and it has a kind of a boot next to the end. What should I do with this problem. I will post a photo with my drive shaft if needed. Thanks again

Re: Drive Shaft end to T-Case has play

I believe the connection to the transfer case is through a CV joint type mechanism.

Just for clarification, we talking about the driveshaft going to the front differential right?

Yes. The d-shaft that has cv joint connects to t-case and the other end with u-joint connects to front differential. Thanks again.

Re: Drive Shaft end to T-Case has play

Do you notice any cracks in the boot where the driveshaft hooks into the transfer case?

Did you see the photos? The area at cv joint wiggles a bit and the end where the t-case is hook also a bit loose and clunks when I twist it. Do you have any idea how much this front d-shaft is?Am asking cause if anyone can tell me what store is the cheapest I will go.Thanks Mac

I don't see any cracks at all except, the cv joint moves a bit when I push it and the end with round cap to t-case clunk when I twist it. I put the photo in the gallery. I wanted it to put here as a link but i don't know.

Fantastic chknugget! Now, the end going to the front differential is okay...no play and movement at all, like if I push or twist it at the u-joint and yoke.
