question about rear suspension

im wanting to put in a full coilover kit. I want to have maximum play with my coilovers( ex. be able to lower it to the max. or raise etc) now i know that in the front you are suppose to replace the camber kit, so i decided to go with the skunk2 camber kit, but what are you suppose to do with the rear, i havent seen anything or know about anything for the rear that would enable you to adjust camber/alignment...

they do make rear camber kits but thats the expensive way to go. A lot of people use the washer method. You can buy a "shim kit" or just go to home depot and get a bolt with a bunch of washers. You can buy the kit for like $6 or the home depot way for cheaper. Everytime you add a washer, it will make your camber a little more positive. You just keep doing it until your camber is correct. I had the alignment shop do it for me, which they did for no extra charge, so then that way you know exactly when its aligned. Bottomline, to correct the rear camber, use the washer method.

and also, does this "washer trick" work on the front end as well? because if it does, it will save me big $$$ on the skunk2 cambers... and is this trick reliable and dependable?

u can get the shim kits at any performance shop. And no you cannot use it for the front. Stick with the Skunk2 camber kit you have. I have the omnipower kit in the front, which looks indentical to the skunk2 and they are great. +/- 4 degrees of adjustment, which is great.

Re: question about rear suspension

alright sounds good, but if i wanna avoid getting the skunk2 camber kits which replace the upper control arms, ebay has these camber kits where they replace the bushings or something on the control arm for a lot cheaper, would that work? and it claims to have like a 3degree adjustability...

the skunk2s imo will be better because its replacing the entire uca. You can use the other types but i would go with something good like Ingalls, but that might price up to the skunk2's which in that case i would stick to the skunk2s
