'teg is a 91 lss b18a and if its type 12, is it possible to switch to r134a easily? thanks in advance. whtteg 04-04-2005, 03:50 PM You have R12 and yes you can convert it to R134A you need to go to the local auto parts store and buy a conversion kit. It is rather simple to do. tmbrrwofl 04-05-2005, 03:44 AM You have R12 and yes you can convert it to R134A you need to go to the local auto parts store and buy a conversion kit. I'll go and get some this week end =D and i'll keep an eye out for that tab...tab in my a/c unit, right? tran_nsx 04-13-2005, 01:21 AM yes bro, the tab in ur a/c unit. to get a better visual, it looks just like the lil tab or middle prong that holds the pressure in which is sticking out of ur tire where u put air in. anyways, u have to remove that off first by twisting it off, then u can put the new conversion cap on. good luck.
