Where to tap oil line?CivicSpoon 04-04-2005, 12:41 AM My friend has a turbo h22a engine. When messing around trying to find an easier place to get oil to his turbo, he found a place he could tap into the head. It's behind the vtec solenoid on the tranny side of the engine. Previously he used the golden eagle thing to do it, but with his new drag kit he'd have to change the fittings on the line to fit on the turbo. Is it going to be ok to tap into the head instead of the oil pressure switch.? Just wondering if it will drop the oil pressure to the turbo when vtec kicks in. If anyone knows, please let me know. It's not a huge deal to change out the fittings and just continue having it tapped to where he already had it. civickiller 04-04-2005, 12:44 AM i saw something about that before and they said it was bad to tap into the head for oil. would be better to keep the ge style superbluecivicsi 04-04-2005, 01:05 AM it will be easier just to stay with the pressure switch spot. CivicSpoon 04-04-2005, 01:17 AM Thanks for the help guys I'll let him know. The last thing he needs is to have to tear apart a brand new turbo or damage his engine.
