96 sierra signal switch/ multifucntion swithclorenjr 04-03-2005, 07:19 PM I recently had problems with my signal switch. When i bought my truck a few months ago i noticed the brights didnt work so the other night i started looking into it. but i accidentaly broke some wire off and now i need a new one. Does any body know if a switch out of an s10 or a sonoma will fit in my 96 sierra? they look exactly the same. Ebay has some cheap for s10 but the sierra ones are a bit high for my pocket. any help would be greatly appreciated. harley2024 04-03-2005, 07:41 PM I had to replace the turn sig switch on my 94 Sierra because the cruse was not working. I was told the wires in the switch break very easy. And no I dont think another Mod. truck switch would work. They didnt have one in stock So I had to wait Rocky sherman69 04-05-2005, 10:15 AM I recently had problems with my signal switch. You select the catalog then find your part, then click it to your cart/basket, Then go to checkout to see the price and shipping. I find their prices to be 60-70 % of the dealer for real GM parts. Bob B TweakedGM 04-11-2005, 05:00 AM did you have any wire left on the switch if so just put a longer wire in and solder the two. The tilt on the column streches the wire and pulles them apart. the muti-fuction switch is usaully ok for the cost of a switch try too solder them back to gather. lorenjr 04-12-2005, 02:31 PM no acutally the wire clips were solder right to the contact right on the back of the switch. i broke the contact right off when i was trying to pulle the wire off to fix the high and low beam wire. the wire that i had broke was for the wipers. i ended up using alot of liquid electric tape and a tooth pick to hold the wire till i can figure out what to do you buy a new switch.
