94 gsr talking crapHOTGSR20 04-02-2005, 08:40 PM my friend has a 94 gsr with basic mods and he thinks that my 92 ls with the same mods as him plus a little bit more performance mods has no chance and will never beat him EVER. Is he right?? kevin85193 04-02-2005, 08:49 PM if he sucks at driving u'll win CivicSpoon 04-02-2005, 08:56 PM Too many variables. Race him and find out for yourself. You didn't say what mods you have, what mods he has, who is the better driver, either of you have any kind of weight reduction, either of you have a sound system that will weigh you down more (big subwoofer box), slicks vs street tires, what distance race (1/8th mile, ¼ mile)? But if you don't actually race him and find out for yourself, then he's right and you will never win. HOTGSR20 04-02-2005, 09:00 PM yea but is his just dominatly better than mine. teg94 04-02-2005, 09:05 PM If you have basically the same mods and ur both the same skill driver he should win ... eclipser2001 04-02-2005, 11:05 PM stock ls v. stock gsr(granted they are both stock)....the ls has a better 1/4 mile time, or so i have read in other threads. b/c it is lighter. teg94 04-02-2005, 11:13 PM stock ls v. stock gsr(granted they are both stock)....the ls has a better 1/4 mile time, or so i have read in other threads. b/c it is lighter. No no no... stock vs stock gsr wins .... gsr has a better 1/4 time in all years honda_racing101 04-02-2005, 11:53 PM Yes gsr would win stock vs stock more power and barely heavier if heavier at all pepsihatman 04-02-2005, 11:55 PM GSR stock is around 15.3 on the 1/4 or so with a really good driver. ls was like 16.1 or something like that I believe. eclipser2001 04-03-2005, 01:04 PM Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally Posted by eclipser2001 yea some do sound off by a little: 1993 Acura Integra GS-R 6.5(0-60) 15.2(1/4 mi.) with 160hp, and the 1994 Acura Integra GS-R 7.1(0-60) 15.5(1/4 mi.) with a 170hp v-tec. or is that right? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- dead on my friend i have seen many 3rd gen gs-r hit 15.1 also though. From what I gather though 2nd gen gs-r is generally considered quicker than 3rd gen. It is definately nominal and up to the driver in my opinion. eclipser2001 04-03-2005, 01:17 PM oh crap my bad man i read the previous posts wrong it was an ls vs gsr right? my bad guys, sry about that. knorwj 04-03-2005, 03:00 PM oh crap my bad man i read the previous posts wrong it was an ls vs gsr right? my bad guys, sry about that. first of all if you are going to quote me at least give me credit for it or put it in quotations so people don't think it is you saying that information. And second of all I was refering to a 2nd gen gs-r versus a 3rd gen gs-r. The current topic is between a 2nd gen LS and a 3rd gen gs-r, in which case the gs-r wins hands down. eclipser2001 04-03-2005, 03:41 PM And second of all I was refering to a 2nd gen gs-r versus a 3rd gen gs-r.
