Re: Tire Size

The guy I bought my '99 from put 285-75's on it. I noticed a little rub if I turn the wheel all the way (turning around in the front yard). I subconsiously take turns a little wide because of the extended cab 1500 I use to drive, so its not a problem for me.

I had 275's on 20's on the Tahoe... no rubbing at all. These are the same as what GM is putting on the 20" wheel option on the Tahoe/Escalade/Yukon/Avalanche package

Re: Tire Size

If you have factory wheels you can fit the 285's BFG's on it no problem. I cant say about other brands because all tires are not exactly the same size.

Re: Tire Size

just mounted 285/70/17's. i adjusted th torsion bars and still got rumming in reverse tunng towards the drivers side as i back up.

fix: i cut the inside shroud of the fender liner (right behind the washer fluis reservoir...which is ultimately exposed after even a conservative cut is made). After the cut of about 2.5 inches of liner is cut, i added several layers of black duct tape neatly aplied to the washer reservoir to protect from light road deris (the fender liners purpose) and to "hide" the exposed reservoir. standing nxt to th truck and looking at the cut, only about 1 inch can even be seen...i just wanted ot to look cleaner...and it does.
