0- 70 roll on, (0-60 happens between 5-6 seconds) on a horrible tune, with extremely restricted breathing - oh yeah, and i shifted conservatively

Pretty sweet. Gotta get us some racing vids soon too. Good luck installing those new mods you have planned as well. Thanks for the vid. L8...

i got u at 5.78 from the time u punched it. your car sounds sweet dude, but u didn't start from a dig. does it feel faster w/the sc (ovbiously), but how big is the difference? what other mods have u planned?

Have you put it on the dyno yet? Once you get it tuned, shouldn’t you be around 200-220whp? Any plans to go with a smaller pully?

:bigthumb: for going with a supercharger instead of a turbo. Any particular reason why?

that video seems to show that your 10mph -60mph roll on time is about the same as mine. pretty quick for only 6 psi untuned. but JRSC don't need to be tuned no? they come with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator and some other little chip that throws timing back for you. or did htey add something new for hte newer kits?

Long story short, i thought i was selling the gsr, so i sold my Greddy SP catback and my AEM CAI (which brought me to a 15.2 @ 92.6 last summer). Shortly after i sold these items i realized i had made a mistake, and i decided to supercharge my car. Now that im all out of funds, i cant even afford a new intake and exhaust, therefore i am running totally stock besides the JRSC. Even when i put stock intake/exhaust back on my car when it was N/A i could feel the GSR struggling in vtec, like it had asthma. Now i don't even feel vtec, i think i am totally restricting myself through my exhaust. That said, it does sound pretty sick with stock exhaust, huh? If i could keep that sound, i would, but i need to free up ALOT of hp. It def feels faster with the supercharger, but again, i desperately need i/h/e. Also, it actually feel slower down low, almost like its bogging, because jackson racing has you retard the timing insane amounts, so that you dont blow your motor. I dont really feel the difference alot, but you notice it when you watch the mph go from 0-100 obnoxiously quick, also, the torque steer is a little bit of a hassel. After I/H/E, and when i install my boost timing controller, i will post a new video. I'm sure the difference is going to be night and day.

I haven't put it on the dyno yet, and im not going to until i upgrade my fuel management, and when i bolt on my 8psi crank pulley. I have no idea what ill be at fully tuned, but i guess you could say between 200-220. I went supercharger instead of turbo because i found a good deal on a kit, I've heard bad things about vtec turbo, and I've heard good things about the vtec-JRSC combo. I love it, and i have lots of room for improvement. Also, i love the idea of lag-free boost... although my friend in competition with me (KA-T) calls it a parasitic power loss, which it is, but hey we'll see about that this summer when i head up to epping, NH, with him and our other friend who has a 330 whp wrx

The kit comes almost pretuned, tuned like shit that is, extremly rich and with timing knocked back from 16 - 10 deg. Safe for the engine, but slow for what I could be running.

yeah, hes going to rape me... heres the stats so far
1996 Integra GSR:
JRSC 6 PSI

1991 240 coupe:
180sx differential
resurfaced flywheel
clutchmasters stage 3
sr20det injectors
greddy emanage/in car e01
no cats - 3" sidepipe
custom manifold
wrx turbo + IC

hes got everything done exept the custom turbo, which we will be working on soon... by the time hes finished hopefully ill have a couple more goodies

we'll hes gonna be using a wrx turbo. those things are hardly good for 250whp on a RWD cars. we'll see how it goes. but most stock turboed WRX can't dyno over 230whp.

i have no idea how much boost he'll be running, how much can those things handle?

My buddy has a 99' Si, that is running 8lbs on his JRSC, and a 35 shot of nitrous, tuned with Neptune. He of course has aheader and exhaust as well. His quickest time's last summer was a 12.97.

i wouldnt even be able to guess right now, i'm hoping for low 14's now, and i wouldn't be surprised if i trapped a little above 100

Ehhh. I'd be shocked if you trapped 100mph going low 14s.

theres someone at my school that has a jrsc gsr running 8 psi with no intercooler, and he ran a 13.8

how much power the KA can handle is totally up to the tuner. mine has been making 230ish whp for 2 years. and 300whp stock internal KA's are not the out of hte norm.

According to a magazine I once read they tested a JRSC GS-R to a 13.8 sec. 1/4 mile at 102 mph. I dunno if they had a LSD on it though. From the vid it doesn't seem to pull all too hard, but then again you weren't shifting it at high enough rpms to judge what she'll due (you were at low speeds of course). Hope you keep that car. The only reason I don't have a GS-R right now is because mine was totalled after owning it for a month and a half.

Now i don't even feel vtec, i think i am totally restricting myself through my exhaust.

The reason you aren't feeling VTEC kick in is because of the power you've gained in the lower part of the powerband. Your powerband has been "smoothed out" so you aren't experiencing that huge jump in power when VTEC kicks in. Hope that helps.

I ran a 15.2@ 92.6 with just i/e, with about 150 whp.... By the time i get to the drag strip i will be over 200 whp. Also, when i said a little over 100 thats exactly what i meant, like 100.2 which does not seem that far off to me... you seem to like to underestimate my car Damp, but dont get a complex, if my car does run the 1/4 mile faster than your stock GT, then you can just modify your exhaust or something...

That is true to a certain extent, but you'll see when i get my next vid up here what I'm talking about. My car is choking trust me...

Here's a quote from the JR website:

"Our '95 completely stock GSR tested by Motor Trend in Oct. '98 ran a 0-60 of 5.7 seconds and 1/4 mile in 14.2 seconds. We have consistently run this same car at Pomona with consistent 14.0 time slips. The same car with Intake, header, exhaust, and test pipe ran a 13.4 on slicks with 100 Octane fuel. "

... and we all know how bad Magazine editors are at running our cars to their full potential.
