In Case You Run Into This......

While troubleshooting a problem where the right turn indicator light on the dash came on when I turned on the Parking/Clearance lights, I found the problem to be an open ground connection in the right front turn signal/clearance combination bulb assembly. It seems the current came to the clearance filament, but because it couldn't go to ground, went through the turn signal filament and back into the turn signal circuit and lit the turn signal indicator light.

Just sharing information.

You can try the bulb, but if its the same as mine, replace the bulb socket. Mine cost me $11.00 at Napa. A twist, three wires and you are done. Make sure the black wire is connected before you do.

Are you saving that none of your front turn lights blink?

Re: In Case You Run Into This......

well, i have a 73 chevy with the two blinkers on the front right above the bumper, and those only work with the parking lights and they dont blink when the blinker's on. its pretty wierd even more because the side marker light on the left front fender will blink when the signals clicked in. the right front fender bulb is just plain burnt out so i dunno about that one. but the only one that blinks is that left fender in the front and of course the rear blinkers

Re: In Case You Run Into This......

Sorry I don't have any additional info on the 73.

Good luck.
