2001 GLS Jetta Signal Lights Problem.avizcarra 03-30-2005, 09:33 PM I have a 2001 GLS Jetta. It has a history for electrical problems concerning light bulbs. I have pretty much replaced them all over time. It just started having a problems with the signal lights. They turn on and blink/cycle once or twice and then they go off. Some times they don't go on at all. Sometimes they stay on for a while. I checked all the bulbs and even replaced a couple. Could it be related to the relay circuit? I so, where is it located and how can I get to it? I don't know much about cars so, please be as detailed as posible! Thanks! Alex boschmann 03-30-2005, 09:57 PM Definitely sounds like t/s-hazard flasher relay. It's built into the hazard switch & easy to replace. avizcarra 04-03-2005, 11:32 AM boschmann: You were right on the money. The problem was that the t/s-hazard flasher relay got damaged due to a loose connection in the grounding. This was most likely the problem that was causing all of the other light bulbs to burn. Thanks for the help! palle525 05-27-2005, 02:38 AM PLEASE i have the same exact car with pretty much the same problem, all of my lights are new i replaced them all but when i use the turn signal they blink really fast like what happens when theres one bulb burnt out but all bulbs are fine if anyone can help me please its driving me nuts missStef 04-30-2009, 01:19 PM Hi plz help, I have a similar problem... my 97 Jetta, my lights dont flash at all though, and I replaced the t/s-hazard flasher relay. Thanks for the help! No, it's not going to solve the other bulbs burning out. Headlights are not as common on Jetta's as they are on Passats, but they do go out. The brake lights are problems on all VW made vehicles. Same with audi considering they share a ton of the same parts and use the same bulbs. They are 2 totally different vehicles and share no parts. Have you check the fuses? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
