Repaired Temp Control Mod on 91 Silverado

Just wanted to pass along that I was having problems getting my A/C and fan controls to engage on my truck and called the "stealer"who wanted 174.00 for a new module...NO-WAY!
I took the mod out and took the 2 circuit boards out of the plastic housing to find that one of the rubber buttons..(one that controls the a/c)..was torn on the circuit board,I placed a little silicone glue into the hole and it works fine now, also cleaned the contacts on the plug ins.
If anyone has had this happen and has a better solution..please enlighten me.
