Re: bed cover
if you can't find a used one I'll bet that you can fabricate a nice custom unit for a good price.

Re: bed cover
What do you mean fabricate a custom unit? Maybe i'm completly misunderstanding you, but do you mean like start from scratch?

Re: bed cover
that's what I mean.
If you can use some woodworking tools you can make a nice one out of wood easily and affordably.
or if you prefer a soft one just make a wood frame, and wrap vinal over it.
You can also make one out of chicken wire, then wrap fiberglass over it.
The sky is the limit with what you can do on a limited budjet.
just use your imagination.
And when your done send in a photo of it. I'm sure that we'll all like it

very easy to do, and if i knew how to do fiber glass work b4 i payed 700 usd for mine, i would of done it myselfe, if you want to give fiber a try, i can send you a very helpful link of fiberglassing, just either chicken wire or wood frame, lay it out, and use chop mat and resin...

Re: bed cover
once your done with your 7 to 12 (i reccomend more towards 12 to 15 due to surface area issues) layers put bondo on the top, smoth it out as the site says to then paint to match, get some hinges from the local trailer/camper outlet near you and also gas shocks to mount, and seince your making it yourselfe how the inside mounts is totally up to you

If it's a nice enough S-10 to have had an offer without any sales sign on I'd still like to see some photo's, if you don't mind.
Thanks in advance

got your hopes up
well i wouldn't call it anything special... the only thing that looks bad is the black bumpers. I thik more or less the guy just needed a car. he just moved from new york and was leaving the dps with his girlfriends mom... lol if you get the picture. but i'll get the pics. it pretty much just gets me from a to b. My original "plan" was to get a crotch rocket after highschool and to use the truck for trans. But seeing as i want to live through college i'm thinking i better find something i can tinker with that has a frame around it... If you know what i mean.
