Exclamation Hybrid Truck

I know it's a Sierra but, interesting story.

http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews...sierra_hybrid/

Sucks that it only gets 1-2MPG better than a non Hybrid.

Interesting read though.

I have heard about that truck before. I do not know if they can call it an hybrid. They just use a generator to power everything the motor would normally handle, i.e. the power steering, fan, A/C, etc. Which takes an load off of the motor and give a little better gas milage. I actually think the 2mpg increase would probably be on the conservative side.

What I think is a great idea is the fact they include 120V source in the bed. So now you can use the truck as a generator and to power your tools, or when you are camping. In fact having the generator makes the truck mor versitile than before.
