help with gas mileages

on mazda website it show thst the rx-8 is 18 MPG but i seen people are getting like 16 MPG is anyone getting that or do you have if so drive the car under 3 RPM to get 18 MPG

pretty much yeah.

you can get better gas mileage with tuning; mazda tunes rotaries conservatively (they run rich in stock configuration)

people with haltech tuned turbo rx7s have seen 20-22mpg.

Never better than 20 mpg after 1700 miles.

I can get 18 if I drive like my grandmother and keep the revs below 4500 and shift 1st 3rd then 6th. I get 16 having fun using all 6 speeds and listening to 7000 to 8000 now and then. Enjoy
