I got a 2002 chev tahoe and want to change front and rear diff oils. Can anyone tell me how much gear oil is required for the front and rear? I really dont want to buy more than what i need as it will just sit around collecting dust.

For my 97 the front takes a little over 1qt, the rear just over 2qt. I'm guessing your's will be pretty close to that. Just keep filling until it begins to trickle from the fill whole.
