Select a drop suspension

i have a 1963 bug and i was told that it has select-a-drop suspension on the front end. i have never heard of select-a-drop. by the name i know that i can "select a drop" but how do i do so?

"Select a Drop" was a brand name for welded in front torsion spring adjusters.

Look in the center of the tubes on the front beam. There should be a couple of studs and lock nuts there. Place jacks under the front beam, on each side and jack them up to just under the beam. Loosen the locknuts and and lower (or raise) the jack slowly until you get the height you want.
Then tighten the whole thing up again.

in the center of the bottom tube there is one stud and lock nut, same with the top. i just losen the nuts with an allen head right? sorry but im a newbie to bugs and im just learning everything.

If there's just a single allen head bolt that's screwed into, what looks like a nut welded into the tube, then it's not adjustable. That screw holds the torsion leaves solidly into the tube(s) so they get the spring action.
