steering column

I have a 97 4 cycl. rodeo and I can't seem to find bolts, screws, etc to tighten the steering column. There is a little play if you pull out on the steering wheel also. The main problem is all the squeaking and you can feel the play around the steering wheel itself. If you wedge something on one side it helps for awhile. Anyone have this problem?

Re: steering column

I have noticed this in my 98. It is only a little play up and down, not sure if it in the mechanism that controls the tilt wheel or soemwhere else, I haven't investigated it very far but I know it doen't matter if the wheel is up or down. I am curious though to find out of anyone knows of a fix though.
