Question 97 Tahoe Aux CD removal

I have a 1997 Tahoe, stereo has the tape deck built-in with the CD separate (at the bottom of the dash).

I just got a CD changer and want to replace the stock CD unit with the head unit of the changer (don't know if it will fit, but want to test the wiring anyway).

I'm guessing that I have to remove the dash to get the CD unit out... where can I go to get instructions on how to do that?
I've searched the forums here (and elsewhere) without any luck. Can someone recommend a book/website/etc for doing this?

Thanks!
