I haven't used them before, but as far as wiper care & extending the life out of them......just take a cloth of some sort & spray silicone onto the cloth & then wipe the rubber part that meets your windshield a few times & then re-wipe a few times with another clean part of the rag where you haven't sprayed any silicone. You will be amazed at the amount of black crap that comes off of them.
Benfit will be: your wipers will work like new again for a while longer. Don't get any silicone spray on your window though!
Basically a good idea to wipe down all of the rubber on your vehicle...like the seals around your door jambs & the back window's rubber. It keeps them flexible & like new & prevents squeaks.
