Cleaning aluminum parts...

Update on my 3.1L top end overhaul:

Got the heads ripped apart, and took them to the machine shop for cleaning/planeing and removal of a couple broken exhaust manifold bolts.

In the meantime, I've been cleaning up the other parts (valves, rockers etc).

Just curious what the most effective solution is to drop my aluminum parts in (intake, brackets) that will clean them well, without corroding, or destroying them?

Simple green is a good cleaner. WD40 works amazingly well too.
G/luck
