Question 2001 G.A. Driver's side door window

The window would not go up or down without help. So I removed the door panel and noticed there was a cable on the left side track was very slack . I tried to remount the cable on the tension pullys but it was not slack enough to do that. Does anybody have a trick or some short cut I can use to remount the cable? Or do I have to seek the help of some Mech. Any input would be great if not thx anyway. Peace The Maceman...

Re: 2001 G.A. Driver's side door window

1] Does the motor work properly?

2] does the window still fit right in the riser channel?

3] If the above 2 are yes, replace the belt.

The motor is fine, the window drops on the left side when looking out from the car, the window is still in the track but the cable that raises the window on the left is very lose. And on the right side it is very tight. I asume the cable on the left is suppose to go around the two tension pulleys which r located behind the track. There is 1 @ the top and 1 @ the bottom. My problem is how to remount the cable on those two pulleys. When I removed the motor, the cable assembly is still intact. So I was wondering if there is some way to mount the cable with out tearing the door apart. Thx The Man
