chroming

does anyone know anything about chroming?

main question is, is it very expensive? i know it depends on the size of the object...lets say 12 inches long, 6 inches wide and only 1/4 thick maybe thinner....any idea how much that could cost?

and after something (aliminum) gets chromed, would it withstand the elements? (weather)

The last time I had stuff chromed was about 10 years ago. It wan't bad at that time. But the price goes down the more you have done.
Look in the yellow pages for shop around the house. Shop for best price.
Good luck
