Wires and Window Motors

I am having a blast trying to find a loose wire which is causing my car to short(briefly). I am not good at finding/diagnosing electrical issues, is my starter easy to get to or is it like my battery which is somewhat of a pain??
Second question, my driver side window goes up and down very slow and struggles to close(not fun in a Michigan winter). Anyone had experience changing one of these out and where to get a replacement? Thanks for any help.

I have had trouble with my driver side window also. It was rolling down very slowly and rolling back up slowly. I had the motor replaced and it semed to get better but it is back to being very slow once again. I took the door panel off and lubed the tracks and everything I could think of. It is still pretty damn slow. It seems to start rolling down slow then gradually get faster about halfway down then it slows down towards the end. Same when rolling up. I am afraid to roll it down cause I dont know if it will go back up. If anyone has anymore suggestions PLEASE help!
