93 tranny not shifting properlyskipice 03-17-2005, 09:34 PM I have a 93 grand am with a 2.3 automatic tranny. driving around town runs great, take it on the highway and come to a stop, idles good, try to go and she stalls. If you are doing 100 kmph and slow down to 50kmph and then start to speed up the tranny didn't shift down on it's own there for your rpm's are so low you can't get going again unless you manually down shift. Whats' up? I am thinking either tcc sensor (no engine light on) or change fluid and filter. FormulaLT1 03-17-2005, 09:50 PM A problem like yours is hard to diagnose and would probably be best if left up to a professional. Just my :2cents: John Knifeblade_03 03-17-2005, 10:07 PM yeah, several things possible, Throttle valve cable needs adjust Vacuum Modulator Neutral/Park Position switch Clogged trans. filter Hoo boy, could be most anything. Best to have a shop look at it, save you some aggravation with self-diagnosing, at least, my thinking. skipice 03-17-2005, 10:26 PM thanks guys I think I will take it to the shop. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
