Re: got a BIG question
Impossible! If you're hung up a 350 c.i.d. rear wheel drive car why don't you just trade it in on a Camaro or Firebird......its more cost effective and reasonable.

Anything is possible! Especially if you want to have 50000 Bucks tied up in a car you cannot get 5k out of! I agree - If you want a RWD car, start with one. If it has to be a Grand Prix buy an '87 or older! I think some of them had Chevy 305s and a 350 will bolt right in!

Yes you can. We had one on here about 6 months ago that had one in it.
First it is almost a mid engine. Floor and fire wall are rebuilt. Truck is tuded. The guy had a 1998 and had it listed for $28,000.00. That should give you an idea what it will cost you.
Best car to put a 350 in is a Vega (wagon is the best.
Good luck.

If the guys got the time, patience and money more power to him. But I agree with jimmyt about the 80's Grand Prixs. I recall my father had a mid eighties Regal and it had a 305 with the Rochester Quadrajet carb. LM1 or LT1 350 should fit. I believe that it had the TH350 auto tranny which, in my opinion was built like a battleship and many had the 2400 rpm stall speed torque convertor stock.

KustomKid 54,
Anythings possible but lets get realistic. For 33K I can get a new Goat with the Corvette LS2 (400 hp), 6 speed manual and rear wheel drive. At least its a Pontiac although from Australia.
28K? Did anybody ever buy it?

If it was possable to put a 350 in it, you could put stress fractures in the fraim.

Re: got a BIG question
anything is posible with a cuting torch and a welder i have seen it done (not that i segest doing it) but it was a 94 gtp but the guy used it for a drag car it looked awsome but he slod it for like 33k so im gonna have to go with kustomkid and say buy a corvette if u got mondy burning a hole in ur pocket.
and buy the way if u do try it ur not gonna have near the same handling if u put that huge ancor for a motor in a lite grand prix
