Re: Putting in a sunroof?

When I was selling Pontiacs back in 1995/96/97, there were two types of sun roofs that could be installed. One was a simple pop-up/removable roof, the second was a power roof similar to the factory roof with the exception of the fact that the after market roof would not open as far as the factory roof.

The price back then was about $600.00 to $800.00 for the pop-up and the power roof was about $1200.00.

If you decide on a roof, check around, don't limit yourself to the dealer. Consider doing a web search for sunroofs, most of the manufacturers will but a link on their site for local retailers/installers. You may find a better price. When you find a place ask then if they have any customer refferences, the last thing you want is to have the headliner chopped up and not looking good. I used to install the pop-up roofs, it's not hard but if someone doesn't know what they are doing they can mess up the interior of the car. Be diligent in your research so you get something that looks good and doesn't leak.
Good luck, if you have any more questions feel free to Private message me, I'll try to answer you as quick as I can.
