My latest model :) *pics!*mole 03-27-2002, 11:29 AM Finished my latest model recently. (after needing a new windscreen!) A Subaru Impreza WRC 1999. It's my second model - the WRC 2001 was my first. I've just started a Pug 206 WRC 2001, and just ordered a Team Arai and STI 7! :D Will keep me busy! Thanks for listening, and heres a few pics. http://www.btinternet.com/~sandlans/models/Dscf0002.jpg http://www.btinternet.com/~sandlans/models/Dscf0004.jpg http://www.btinternet.com/~sandlans/models/Dscf0005.jpg http://www.btinternet.com/~sandlans/models/Dscf0003.jpg Cheers, Mole :D :smoker2: Tom_S8 03-27-2002, 11:30 AM Nice!:bandit: flyonthewall 03-27-2002, 11:44 AM They look f***ing A dude!!! The earlier impreza has got to be one of tamiya's greatest kits of recent times. Ive just finised the 98 version which im fairly pleased with. Im sure it was cursed though, maybe something to do with it being stalled for about 3years!!! mole 03-27-2002, 11:52 AM Thanks Tom_S8! :) fly - Thanks!!! :D Got any pics of the 98? Be good to see. Im always too impatient to keep mine unbuilt ;) Gonna eventually get all the Tamiya Scooby models :) Mole :D flyonthewall 03-27-2002, 12:27 PM Only some dodgy scanner pics... One or two little things left to do like add aerials, wipers and panel lines and i want to clear coat it with future too. Hopefully u can make out the etched seatbelts and carbon fiber in the interior and on side mirrors, plus drybrushing to exhaust. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/453336impsde.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/712501impint.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/687966impund.jpg nismo kid 03-27-2002, 12:34 PM Cool, I like what you did with those exhausts, whatever you did to them. daggerlee 03-27-2002, 12:42 PM You drybushed them huh? Tamiya.com's Japanese website has a totally different way of doing that, using an airbrush, for motorcycle mufflers. Marco_Wrc 03-27-2002, 12:51 PM Looking nice those Subaru's together. Guiddy 03-27-2002, 01:17 PM What a nice pair!!! I hope to have a similar pairing completed too! primera man 03-27-2002, 05:14 PM Verry very nice....looking darn good together Jay! 03-27-2002, 05:36 PM Excellent work, man!! :D Keep it up!!! When you say "all the Tamiya Scooby models," how many do you mean? ;) Twist 03-27-2002, 07:21 PM I'm more of an Evolution man myself, but there's no denying your skills. Keep up the good work and put 'em in the gallery! I plan on building a model of every evolution of the Lancer Evolution in both street and rally garb (1,2,3,4,5,6,&7, though I doubt I'll be able to find much past 3 or 4). That's going to cost me a lot of time and money! tenzoracerevovii 03-27-2002, 08:42 PM wow!.......that looks awesome!!.........i want to make a pair of rally subaru's too!........or maybe the lancers........damn you man!......i want to build a whole collection of rally cars now!!!!!!!.......:D :( ........i don't know if i should be happy or sad cuz it will cost so much money to fulfill......... mole 03-28-2002, 05:16 AM flyonthewall - That carbon fibre looks the b0ll0x!! Something like that anyway :D Twist - That will be excellent if you manage to build all them :) I also love evos... just love scoobies a bit more :p How do I get pics into the gallery? I'll take some betters ones for it. tenzoracerevovii - Go for the Subarus! & be happy! :) Im also thinking about a whole collection of rally cars - I've started the 206 WRC 'cos I think that's one pretty car! I think I'll build all the Subarus I can get for now though. Thanks again all.... JEEEZ!!! Looks like you took those "tips to get started" to heart!!! Great work!!:D flyonthewall 03-29-2002, 04:44 PM Originally posted by mole Gonna eventually get all the Tamiya Scooby models :) Mole :D [/B] Hey man forget building all the tamiya one's, how about building all the versions available from Studio 27!!! now there's a challenge for u!!!:D ... a challenge for the bank account!!!:( mole 03-29-2002, 05:46 PM Originally posted by flyonthewall how about building all the versions available from Studio 27!!! Tell me more! :D :D :D Jay! 03-29-2002, 05:51 PM Originally posted by mole Tell me more! :D :D :D They're mostly decal variations... You'd buy another Tamiya kit, then use Studio 27's decals to make it a different version from a different rally. For example: http://www.hlj.com/images/s27/s27dc534c.gif (http://www.hlj.com/cgi-local/hljpage.cgi?S27DC534C) (click it to see it) edit: To see them all, go to the HLJ search page: http://www.hlj.com/hlj_search.html put in "impreza" for the keyword select "studio 27" for the manufacturer put in "24" for the scale It should return 43 decal sets (but 2 are unavailable), and 9 types of "grade-up" parts (but 3 are unavailable.) daggerlee 03-29-2002, 08:32 PM I kinda want to get the Team Arai Scooby, but I still think it's kinda ugly, but with Replicarz prices, you almost can't go wrong... :grey: Check this one out: http://www.hlj.com/images/s27/s27dc530c.gif Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
