I just recently bought a keyless remote for my 1998 Passat 1.8t and i would greatly appreciate it if someone could give the instructions on how to program it. Thanks boldest7

I recently bought a new keyless entry off of eBay too. I'm not quite sure exactly how I did it. But what I did was put an old key into the ignition and start it. Then with the new key, I placed it in the door lock and pressed and held down all three buttons on the remote for a few seconds. This somehow programs the new remote. I'm sure there is a more exact way to do it, but I learned this from watching a service guy do it at the dealership.
