Well, no questions, just a posting.
In Ontario, we have to do emissions testing every 2 years. My 92 Rodeo is due. There was an exhaust leak right at the manifold, and of course, each manifold has 2 bolts broken off. So I set out to remove the heads to fix the problem.
If anyone has any questions about this engine (or the vehicle in general), nows the time to ask, as the engine is half ripped apart. I can snap pics, look for things etc etc.
Here's where I am now...the rockers on the other side have since been removed and scrubbed spotless, and all of the rods are washed up. Tonight I'll pop the heads off, and I'm going to do a major overhaul (new guides, planed etc). There is evidence in this pic that someone has already done an engine job on this vehicle and didn't do a thorough job cleaning the parts...can you spot it?
I believe in doing it once, and doing it right
BTW...the A/F laying about the engine is not a leak. It just dripped out of the intake manifold when I was lifting it out.
