bulbs/headlights questions
To all who are kind and knowledgeable about all things Trailblazer, thank you for your insight!! I apologize ahead of time, as I'm sure this question has been answered somewhere in this forum before. I have a 2004 Trailblazer LT 4x4, two toned (medium red and silver) and I am looking into buying new headlights. It seems to be a decent upgrade for my TB that, save for new tires and tinted windows, is still stock. I am a girl so bear with me if I get a little picky! I do not want to buy new headlight assemblies, but just the bulbs. However, I want the kind that project a pristine clear white light (not the bluish hue of BMWs and such). And to make it more complicated, since my car is basically stock, I don't want anything that will make the headlights seem out of place on my car. If any of you can help me, I would absolutely appreciate it from the bottom of my 4x4-lovin' heart.
I need something not too expensive, as I have to buy foglight bulbs too!
Any suggestions?! And where to buy?

I have looked into Sylvania's Silverstar headlights, and will probably get them when I get around to it. There are others out there, most good auto parts store should have good bulbs. The Silverstars are advertised as the "whitest DOT approved bulb". They require no modifcations at all to the headlamp assemble because they are the same wattage as the stock bulbs. For more ideas, you might want to check e-bay. The Silverstars do not have a bluish tint that I know of, but I could not tell you for sure. Sylvania I know has turn signal bulbs, but I'm not sure about the foglights. Good luck, Erik.

Sorry, the headlights are part number 9006ST. The headlight bulbs should be 9006, except for the high beams which are 9005. Go to http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/ for the bulb guide. Erik

I have the sylvanias and trust me when i say it is awesome. They arent like the BMW or Benz but it is immaculately different i have had people asking me about the lights and have even said i had the HID kit installed. I would highly recommend the sylvainas. They are also very easy to install.

replacement fog light bulb #
hey all. i called my chevy dealership today and they kindly gave me the bulb #, (of course, this was after i searched the internet for hours).
anyway, the fog light bulb # is 880. at least it is for a 2004 trailblazer lt, but i'm sure it's the same for all.
bought and installed 6 sylvania silverstars today. so far so good! can't wait for darkness so i can really see how great they are!
like another post, i found them at walmart, of all places! cheaper than any i found on the net.
twin packs of hi and lo beam bulbs = $37~ a pack
fog light bulbs only come in singles at $18~ a bulb

Survey Says?
So how did they do at night? Were the fog lamp bulbs any brighter/bluer than the originals?

Re: bulbs/headlights questions
So how do they work? Im thinking about picking up some low beams and fog bulbs tonight. I just want something that is extremely bright. Do the fogs match the headlights? I glanced at the Silverstar foglights the other day and thought they said 50W, the stocks are 27W? Definitely want something brighter than the OEM ones.
