Re: installing projection headlights?

take off bumper, grill, and then unbolt the headlights, 4 nolts, on near fender, two in the engine bay, and one below the lights. take them out
and replace with the new lights
the plug from your old headlights will plug into the ones

Re: installing projection headlights?

the 2 wires that come with the lights are for the rings around the projectors. The white is for positive and black negative. It depends when you want them on....you can hook them up to a switch or when i had them splice them into your parking lights so they come on with your lights.... pm if you need help

The easiest way to hook the halo's up, as ranger said, is to splice them into your parking lights...on mine the red wire is the power wire...the white in ground...I've seen them with black ground wires though, so if you have a black wire that is ground and the non-black is power...there will be two power wires in the corner light harness...a parking light power and a turn signal power...splice the power wire into the parking light power wire if you want them to come on with your parking lights, splice the ground into the ground.

Do not come in here to start in-fighting like this and flame other members, it will not be tolerated...it is against forum policy. Please take a minute to re-read the forum guidelines you agree'd to when you created your account.

Also, the smallest BMW motor is a 184 HP 2.5 liter...if he did a 1.8 Liter GSR B18C1 swap, that is 170 HP, almost 100 HP per liter...that is only 7.6% less power from a motor 28% smaller. DO the math, that GSR is a more efficant motor!!! Even if he where to get an Si with a 160hp B16A, that's 100HP per liter and only 13% less HP from a motor 36% smaller...still more efficant. A swap costs much less than that bottom of the line 3 series....and the power to weight ratio (the civic is maybe 2300lbs) will make it more than comparably fast. Get the facts before you post, and do not come in here to flame and start problems.

Re: installing projection headlights?

don't forget the s2000, 2.0L w/ 240hp. that's 30% more power w/ 20% less size. 120hp per liter, and it's roughly the price of a BMW. also, all the above mentioned honda motors r 4 cylinders while the 2.5L BMW is a 6 cylinder. sad how in-efficient most other companies r. by the way i think u ment to name 99redsilverado...

edit: i flip-flopped a couple things.

Re: installing projection headlights?

Hey people, yeah im helped my friend to put on the lights already but we spliced the wires to the main light, and not the parking light. So now i guess we want to connect it to the parking light, i just want to make sure which one was it, there are 3 wires to connected to the turn signal light, a red, a black, and a green, i was wondering if the green one was the blinker wire or the parking light wire? then after were done connecting it to the parking light wire the halos should go on by themselves with the parking light, right??? thanks for the help guys

Re: installing projection headlights?

splice the positive into the red and the negative into the black...whatever you do...DO NOT splice it into the green, thats to make the light blink. After you connect these...yes the halos should come on with the parking lights
