Has anyone replaced upper and lower ball joint on a 1999 jeep cherokee? I was told all four need replacing.My Haynes manual does not recomend this
job because of the special tools involed.Any recomendations. Thanks

well I have never done it on a WJ but I have done it on my 94 ZJ. You will need a C-Frame Press (ball joint press) for this job, believe me, it is a pain in the a$$ to get them in and out, I have done many ball joints on many other vehicles and never had as much trouble as I did with the jeep.

You will need a press like 81 said. You can get them at Harbour Freight for about $40.
