Mini wiper motor wireingchrisg222 03-07-2005, 04:16 PM Hi there, I'm new so please be gentle! ;-) I've just bought a mini based "Minus" kit car, it's pretty old and needs lots of work. It came without a wiper motor, but I have obtained one, the only problem being I have no idea how to wire it up. I believe it's from an seventies/eighties mini and it has three wires, blue, yellow and red, i managed(by trial and error) to make it run but it doesn't park when I turn it off. Any help would be gratefully received.. Thanks Chris 007ightning 03-10-2005, 12:21 AM Hey Chris. I have yet to come across a mini (wiper motor for that matter) that parks itself after you turn it off. I have a relativly newer mini, and a few old ones, I have to time it just right when turning off the motor. John chrisg222 03-12-2005, 08:28 AM Hey Chris. I had a mini that was just as you said, and I never had any problems turning it off in the right spot but I've been told that if the wipers don't park themselves that this would fail the MOT test - I wonder if a similar motor from something else would do the job? It would have to be a similar size and shape as there's not much room under the dash. Find out what a few mini owners in town are using if it is a causable MOT failure without.
