random mods 2

ok, for visibility purposes, what would be a good percent of tint to get? *law-abiding optional* also, how much would one expect to pay to professionally lower your car 1.5 inches, wheel alignment, etc (the right way)?

and just for fun, got in a race against a 1968 chevy truck with a 350ci v8 and headers no exhaust, beat him , and im stock as of right now

Re: random mods 2

a good aliby for tinting is to be able to read your license through the window on your front windows. The rest can be as dark as you want them. Now onto suspension, my favorite topic. If you going to play around with it, this is an area you don't want to skimp out on. My setup i plan on running in the spring consists of.. KYB AGX struts ($480 + tax) and the Eibach Pro Kit which is a progressive spring ( $220 + tax) for a grand total of $757.75 ( NYS tax is 8.25%) An alignment will run you 50-70 bucks depending on where you go. If you pay someone to install all of this for you plan on another 100-200 bucks. When i did mine the first time around it took me about 4-5 hrs and there were several ice tea breaks too. After i get my anti-sway bars and strut tower bars i am looking at a grand total of $1000-1200 bucks for a good setup. Its not cheap, but if you want to go fast, you need the proper stance.

Well on the tint thing I saw a Unmaked PoImpala today with darker than limo black tints today! Couldn't see the cop at all! but they had the police wheels they ALWAYS have and the antennae! That's a Little contraditory! Suspension, keep it good makes and coil-0overs will shatter you splein and if you use them with stock strtuts you'll look like a lo-lo when you hit a bump as you'll bounce around all over the place! Also they usually have alu bump stops which mean if you bottom out BANG, you need a Chiropractor!

Re: random mods 2

i don't know much avout lowering.. but as far as the tint thing i live in missouri and the legal limit here for the front doors (4 door) is 20% but i have mine at 5% all the way around including 6 inches down the front window.. I also had 5 on my two door when i had it and i've never been messed with about it..
