I have an 1985 Civic Wagon 2wd. I am looking to do an engine/transmission swap. Mainly because I think it would make a great sleeper.. Most people expect a CRX or Integra to be fast, but a Civic Wagon.. No way :-) Well.. Does anyone know if and where I could get an Engine put in like a ZC or something. Im looking for about 150 hp in it. I think a ZC with intake and headers and nice exaust should do that. Please let me know jrongish@yahoo.com

Thanks

Yea i think a ZC would work. Then with intake, headers and a custom exhaust would be pretty nice.;)

The ZC is an excellent motor with very high potential, and is also a direct bolt in for our 3rd Gen Civics.

However, the ZC can be a little hard to come by, the 1st Gen Integra(86-89)motor D16A1 is the same as the ZC, but the de-tuned American version.

Its really a matter of availability, price, and personal preference.

Keep us updated on the swap!

Yeh ZC or most of the SIR engines are really hard to come now. Not only that...they jacked the prices up also!

Well.. I would be willing to pay $1500 or so for the motor.. Im not sure how much installation is. But I figure add in clutch, intake, and headers. The total job should be under $3000. Problem is I live in Wichita, KS.. Does anyone know of a place that I could buy the ZC motor and have the work done that is in the midwest? I.E. Not in CA, NY, or FL... :)
