replaced starter still won't start f250BilltheCat 03-01-2005, 12:05 PM 94 f250 4x4 automatic v8.... truck was running good till one day just click click click. traced problem to starter. replaced starter. the starter turns the engine now but it's not starting. where is the 1st place i should check? before this starter problem the truck ran like new. Austin8214 03-01-2005, 04:21 PM You need three things to make a engine run. They are Air, fuel, and spark. If the engine turns over see if it will fire with some starting fluid. If it fire with the starting fluid odds are you have a fuel problem. I think fuel pressure for you truck should be around 50 to 60 PSI to start the engine. mustangmike351c 03-01-2005, 10:50 PM see if you blew a fuse BilltheCat 03-02-2005, 11:50 AM 94 f250 4x4 automatic v8.... truck was running good till one day just click click click. traced problem to starter. replaced starter. the starter turns the engine now but it's not starting. where is the 1st place i should check? before this starter problem the truck ran like new. . tried the starting fluid doesnt appear to be getting spark..will be checking plugs and distributer. anything else i chould check?..all i did was replace the darn starter with the battery disconected so i dont think i blew a fuse or anything. Austin8214 03-02-2005, 12:13 PM If you are not getting any spark then check you igntion module and the coil if it has one. BilltheCat 03-02-2005, 03:20 PM [QUOTE=Austin8214]If you are not getting any spark then check you igntion module and the coil if it has one.[/QUOTE jiggeld every wire i could see under the hood..nothing...jiggled every wire again and checked tightness of connectors started right up. still don't know what the cause was but its running great (for now and hopefully till the weather warms back up). wind chills were nasty and the truck was parked outside.
