Honda Civic Si Engine Number

I have a 1988 Honda Civic Si but I am not sure if the engine is the D16A6 engine , I think it is the D15B2 engine I am not sure...It's written 16 Valve on the head.If the engine is the D15B2, can it be put together with the SI transmission?Or maybe the guy before me changed the transmission at the same time he changed the engine and put in the DX transmission(or maybe he didnt change the engine ). Can someone please post a picture of where i can find the engine number on the engine???
Thanks!

spark plugs and ignition wire set

i just bought and installed a NIEHOFF premium ignition wire set and NGK spark plugs for the civic. The thing is i told the sales man that they were for a 1988 DX model, not the 1988 SI that i just realized i have.Does it matter or are the spark plugs and wire universal and fit my engine ok???

Ahhhha! it is an SI!

Alright guys, I checked and I am 100% sure it's an SI.

D16A6

Please check my pictures in my gallery to see my Civic Si and my engine.

I paid this car 600$CAN!
I think it's a bargain...car doesn't leak oil and enginre runs strong.
Transmission is really good too.
Needs a bit of patching up on the wings but overall i think its good.

What do you guys think??
Please leave feedback.

Thanks again everyone.

You'll be fine dude, si and dx got the same spark plug gap and also use the same wires.
