BRIGHTS & FOG LIGHTS

can someone tell me how to rig it up in a 94 camaro so that you can have the brights and the fog lights at the same time?
i know it is possible because in the generic gm photo for that car all the lights are on.
thanks

Re: Brights & fog lights

Tools Needed:
Flat Head Screwdriver
Philips Head Screwdriver
Wire Cutters

Parts Needed:
Appx. 18" Of Wire
Electrical Tape

Purpose:
Wire fog lights to stay on with hi-beams.

How - To:
Step 1
Disconnect negative battery terminal. Open fuse box under the hood on the drivers side (near the air box). Find the fog light relay (Block H).

Step 2
Remove the fuse box from the frame. You will have to push in the 6 plastic retainer clips that hold down the box. Pry up the box.

Step 3
Look on the bottom of the box under the fog light relay fuse. You should see 4 wires (orange, yellow, purple, light green).

Step 4
Cut the light green wire. Take the 18" wire you have & splice it to the wire coming OUT of the fuse box. Take this wire & ground it to one of the bolts holding the fender on the car. Make sure the wire doesn't interfere with anything else under the hood.

Step 5
Tape the dead end of the light green wire coming out of the harness.

Step 6
Reassemble (the box snaps into place) & test lights.

Step 7
Note : The light on the fog light switch on the dash still goes out when the hi-beams are on.

Wow, that's so in depth it's almost scary... I am however impressed with the quality and simplicity of the instructions. You do good work John.

Re: Brights & fog lights

Formula's have the powertrain of the Trans AM but looks like the Firebird. The Formula's is the lightest 4th Gen F-Body's but come standard with the least amount of standard equipment such as Foglights which could not be had on the Formula.

Isn't the Trans Am much heavier than the Z28?

Re: Brights & fog lights

If you consider around a hundred pounds depending on the options of the models your comparing "much heavier" than yes but in terms of performance times they are dead even for most years that they had the same powertrain but going by weight the Z28 would have at most a 1 tenth of a second advantage although it doesn't appear to show that much of a difference
