'02 With a "Sticky Gas Pedelsbalgach 02-28-2005, 08:38 AM HI, '02 Accord 4 cyl . When cold, the gas pedel "sticks" at the top. When going to accelerate there is a noticable "hitch" at the top then everything is OK. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, STeve mpumas 02-28-2005, 01:27 PM Lubrication may be a solution. You need to find if it it is hanging up on the throttle body or cable/linkage. Do some tests and get back to us. lorunner 02-28-2005, 04:40 PM You have excessive carbon buildup on the butter fly. Remove the intake tube and clean it with throttle body cleaner. Spray some on a rag and scrub the inside of the throttle body until its all gone. You will see the spots where its black. Ehscrewdude 02-28-2005, 07:25 PM Can you use that same cleaner to clean the whole tb? Just like open it and spray it in there and then start the engine??? lorunner 03-01-2005, 05:02 PM I would do it with the engine running already. Just raise the idle and spray it but not so much that it stalls. Keep it running and spray. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
